This really is a nightmarish ride. I wouldn't get on any roller coaster anyway but this one is definitely from a nightmare. The sea rolling off the edge adds to the uneasy surrealistic feel of the image.
Thanks It's a bit grim really, I like to think life is a little better than that. Perhaps it's more a metaphor for mood swings, I hadn't thought about it until just now, but it could be! It's good to hear from you
You're welcome Larain. A bit grim perhaps but, life isn't always better than that. When I think of life as a rollercoaster,I think of changes in my mood. I'm the textbook definition of the Jungian introvert. It's good to hear from you as well!
Well, you're the textbook definition of the "textbook definition".lol You're right tho'. Not many people know that. Life is rarely "grim",in my experience but,it is often less than what I had hoped for. I do look on the bright side. If I didn't,I'd really be in trouble.
Trying to get my head around being the textbook definition of 'textbook definition' and as usual I can't! Hmmmmm, you sound disappointed with life! I've found it to be full of the unexpected and never as I planned but it all turns out ok in the end Well I haven't reached the end yet, but so far anyway it's ok and still lots of hope
I can't think at the moment, it's asking too much I'm sorry you are not happy with life but it's good you have lots of hope and one thing is for sure, everything changes. Try using 'the law of attraction'. I get loads of email on it since I started the meditation. It's an interesting idea
I really wish the sky matched the style of the roller coaster and ground. The quality of those lines is what makes this very interesting to look at. The photographed sky, while it has really nice colors, ruins that awesome creepy feel of the coaster and cliff edge. Maybe try painting over it? Also, the circle almost looks like it's supposed to be a moon or something. If you make it look like a definite object floating in space it will feel more surreal. That little thing on the right side, which looks like a pipe coming out of the ground to me, adds a lot to this image and I love that you put it there.
Thanks I thought I had painted over the photograph! Maybe I used the wrong image The circle had to remain as it was part of the scribble but I know what you mean, I would have liked to have modified it in some way. The ground is actually the sea just down the road from me, you can see it overflowing from the edge in the foreground
I love roller coasters, but I don't think I'd love THIS one. lol I love the eeriness of the roller coaster and how stark it is. You did a great job with the lines for this one too! Good luck in the contest.
