Unfathomable Joy of a Manic Depressive

My first poem written especially for the group 'The Black Hole' and anybody who suffers from bi-polar disorder. Just a few words, nothing special but I hope something that somebody will relate to.
Somehow this drawing of my hands expresses the emotion I am trying to evince.

Powerful work. I've never suffered from depression (touch wood) but it is always important to try to understand what it is like for people who do suffer.

Thank you Tara :D As my first poem it's really nice to have received some positive comments. I suppose like art, poetry can't really be wrong. I did teach a little English at school but somehow have never really understood all the nuances of poetry. I usually just let it wash over me to enjoy it, somehow. :)

This poem is just as much about the manic side of bi polar disorder as depression and is meant as a positive view rather than a negative one. Generally it's difficult to see a positive side to it, especially when depressed. :hmm:

As it's Christmas Eve I have to wish you Happy Christmas again, even though I have already. Have a wonderful time XXX  XXX

As a Bipolar sufferer, I can say that this really touched me. I could relate with every word, and this have me chills. In a good way, of course. Beautiful way to convey this terrible illness.

Thank you for writing this. ♥

Thank you :D I'm pleased you could relate to it. I was trying to convey how the manic side of bi polar can be just as confusing as the depressive side. Being able to reach extremes on the spectrum of moods is sometimes a blessing and creates a full life. I haven't yet known anyone who would say they would have it taken away if it could be, I guess it's a part of what makes us,us.
